Simple Grilled Salmon Recipe

Grilling and summer go hand in hand.  Not only is this casual season perfect for parties, but cooking outside gets the heat out of your kitchen and makes cleanup a cinch.

Want to make it even easier?  Having your favorite marinades and seasonings ready to go allows for super quick dinner prep.  Here’s a favorite salmon seasoning recipe we use all the time—it’s tasty with a kick but not too spicy, a crowd pleaser for sure!  Store in an empty spice jar so you always have some on hand, because it can be used for poultry and meat dishes as well.

Grilled Salmon

Ingredients:
1/4 cup paprika
1 TB chili powder
1 TB ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 salmon fillets

Directions:

1.  Combine the seasonings and stir.  If you have an empty spice jar, store in there so you can use as needed.

2.  To season the salmon, brush a little olive oil onto the fish, then sprinkle with the spice rub.  Season to your liking: for bold taste, use just under 1 TB of seasoning per pound of fish.  For lighter taste, use much less.  Grill salmon as you normally would, and serve with a slice of lemon or lime.
