Lucky Charm Treats for St. Patrick’s Day

Ashley_St.Patrick'sDay96

I love celebrating holidays with my kids – big holidays and little holidays. I love to do something special for each one! This year for St. Patrick’s Day I knew I wanted to come up with a fun snack for the kids to help me make. I wasn’t entirely sure what I was going to make, though.

I headed to Family Dollar to see what I could come up with. As I was roaming the food aisles a box of Lucky Charms caught my eye. That’s about as Irish as it gets! I then grabbed a bag of marshmallows from the baking aisle and a stick of butter from the refrigerator section.

Instead of making rice crispy treats we made Lucky Charm Treats! This was a fun recipe for my kids to help me with. They measured out the ingredients with me and also helped me to pat the Treats flat. And, of course, they helped me to enjoy them once they were ready to eat :)

Here’s how we did it…

Lucky Charm Treats

Ingredients:
6 tablespoons butter
2 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
