Cost Effective Thanksgiving Holiday Décor – How to Make Your Table Look Like a Million Bucks!

FD12

We’re having our very first Thanksgiving in our new home this year. I am so excited to be able to host Thanksgiving this year and have been on the hunt for Thanksgiving home decorations! Not only do I want the meal to be perfect, I really want my Thanksgiving home décor to stand out and give our house an extra warm and comforting feeling.

My main focus this year is going to be on the table. Normally we opt for paper plates, plastic tablecloths and plastic utensils, but I wanted to do something different this year. I wanted regular plates and place settings with an arrangement on the table.

This is the look that I’m going to have for our Thanksgiving dinner. So while I was out looking for Thanksgiving decorations for the home I found the perfect leaf plates/bowls and mini pumpkins. I just knew that I wanted to work them into my table setting!

I love the cranberry and orange theme! I had originally wanted a cranberry table runner, but decided on these cranberry place mats for each setting.

I’ll use my white dinner plates because I think everything looks great on a white plate!

Then I’m going to top the white plates with these adorable leaf bowls.

Each leaf bowl will have an orange pumpkin in it.

I think I am going to add nametags to the pumpkin and turn them into place cards!

For the centerpiece, I used a large, dark brown leaf shaped bowl as my base.

I added a cranberry colored, apple candle and filled the bowl with mini pumpkins, leaves and acorns.

I love candlelight at the dinner table!

Behind the table I arranged a few autumn colored flowers and glittery leaves in a green pail to pull in the fall theme.

I love how easy this table setting came together and how inexpensive it was!

I don’t think I’ll be using plastic plates or plastic tablecloths again for Thanksgiving!
