Chicken Pot Pie – Del Monte Holiday Recipe


There’s nothing like having easy holiday recipes on hand that are packed with flavor and are fit to feed a crowd – a combination of those two qualities will make for some pretty happy guests!  While I’ve always got tons of ideas for sweet and fruit dessert recipes, sometimes I forget that I actually need to have savory items on the menu as well! I just can’t help it, I love to make desserts!

Since I do indeed need savory holiday recipes for our celebrations, I’ve started working on a few ideas that will put a small spin on some of our favorites! Chicken pot pie has always been a favorite here. I normally make 4-6 of them at a time so I have enough Chicken pot pies for us, to give away and for company!  It’s just so easy to whip up the filling for them, and once I bake them in disposable pie plates they’re ready to go anywhere!

Since Chicken Pot Pie can be a little boring at times, I’ve decided to add my own little spin to it by making a Cheese, Garlic and Creamed Corn Biscuit topping for it! I’ve filled this chicken pot pie with shredded chicken and tons of Del Monte vegetables! Del Monte Vegetables and Del Monte recipes are sure to bring your family together around the dinner table this holiday season!


Chicken Pot Pie

What you need:
1 package of Bisquick Cheese, Garlic Biscuit Mix
1/2 cup water
1 can Del Monte creamed corn 
1 can Del Monte peas
1 can Del Monte green beans
1 can Del Monte corn
1/2 tablespoon chicken seasoning
1/2 tablespoon Garlic & Herb seasoning
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 (10.5 oz) cans cream of chicken soup




Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 350F.

Step 2: Boil chicken breasts in a large stock pot of water until chicken is done. Remove chicken and let cool. In a medium bowl, shred chicken and set aside.

Step 3: In a medium bowl, mix together the Biscuit Mix and ½ cup water.


Step 4: Mix in Creamed corn.

Step 5: Mix well until everything is combined.


Step 6: In a large bowl, mix together the Chicken and Cream of Chicken Soup.

Step 7: Add in the Del Monte peas, Del Monte green beans, and Del Monte corn.


Step 8: Mix in ½ tablespoon Chicken seasoning.

Step 9: Mix in ½ tablespoon Garlic and Herb seasoning.


Step 10: Pour filling onto a pie dish.

Step 11: Top with the Cheese, Garlic and Creamed Corn Biscuit topping.


Step 12: Bake chicken pot pie for 25 minutes or until biscuits are done.

Yield: 1 large deep dish chicken pot pie or 2 regular chicken pot pies.
