It is ridiculously frigid here in the Midwest and I could use a little help staying warm and stylish. It’s been ages since I’ve shopped for new winter clothes because all of my residual funds seem to go towards my boys. Determined to add a little life to my wardrobe, I made a goal to pick up a few essentials. To my absolute surprise, Family Dollar, of all places had just what I was looking for.
I cannot believe I scored this fabulous maxi skirt for seven bucks! It was sitting on the rack calling my name. I wasn’t looking for skirts in particular, but I simply couldn’t pass up such a gorgeous maxi! Aztec patterns are hot right now and the color combination is my absolute favorite. The fabric is soft and thicker than a summer maxi. I’d wear some leggings underneath for extra warmth and comfort. This skirt is everything.
I am all about cardigans. When I found these striped lace cardi’s, I had to grab them in both colors. I’m a sucker for stripes, heathered fabric, and mix-match textures. Like the maxi above, these are soft and pretty solid.
Last but not least, I found this cute peasant top. It’s a basic top and would look great with a bold necklace and stacked bracelets. I love tops that are gathered and ruched. They are very flattering in what I like to call the “mommy areas”.
So now I have some warm clothes to get me through the cold winter season. As you can see, I love my earth tones! Be sure to check out Family Dollar for winter clothing styles. You never know what warm and fabulous gems you may discover!
